Whether Google Treating “Blog Comments” as Forum threads ?

Strange Huh ?

It happens for some blog getting good comments, google treating those blog comments as forum thread or posting and displays the commentators as authors and their comments and replies as “posting” as we see in forum.

Look at the Screenshot below -

SERP screenshotYou can able to see google indexed my blog comments and commentators as authors and posting.

Same kind of effect can be seen in popular Digital Point forum.

digital point screenshotUsually these kind of feature will be shown for only forum threads because google thinks it’s easy for the user to identify how much comments and author are engaged in that forum posting. So it is easy for a user to pick the good one among thousand’s of SERP link for their search term.

But why Google showing this features to a blog ?

More Comments + Authors interaction = Good Article :D

It’s Effects…

I’m the only one author of this blog but if a user sees this features in SERP, showing 20 authors and  13 posting. what they will think about my blog ?

whether they will leave my blog thinking it is forum [or] they will LOVE to see my post after seeing this ?

DO you got these kind of features in your blog SERP’s ? What do u think about this frnds?

really strange…. google is considering your blog as forum…lol..

  11. This is certainly an interesting observation you shared. Also quite intriguing too. Personally if it was me, I would personally visit the page and check it out(maybe because I want to know whether it's really a forum or a blogpost. Other than that, it doesn't really matter to me though as long as it provides the information I seek when I search for it. Maybe you should do a small survey as to "whether they will leave my blog thinking it is forum [or] they will LOVE to see my post after seeing this ?"

  12. Even the search engine Google get confused.haha. Anyway you should try to visit it always then figure out what went wrong. As long as the result is that it is still consider as blog, then there is no major problem. Anyway it’s so strange.
