Thumbs.db is a small cache file of the current picture in that directory. To remove it do the following trick…

Steps to Follow :-
— Open “Windows Explorer”
— Goto “Tools”
— Open “Folder OPtions”
— Goto “View”
— Select “File and folders”
— Tick mark “DO NOT CACHE THUMBNAILS”
That’s it..
Now the Thumbs.db file will be removed from your computer and cannot be created back

This won't really save a lot of space, but it will definitely increase the time it takes to load folders with a lot of images.
