Google profile is great way to get backlink. I get backlink from my Google profile. I also get backlink from YOUTUBE profile page. Thanks Sudharsan for sharing this great tips with all.

I would imagine this will only be effective if you were to create plenty of links to your google profile, otherwise there won’t be much by way of results. Is that right?

The idea is great but it has one or two problems.

Google’s Pagerank to a big amount is calculated by all incoming links to a certain website. Each link has a certain “weight” or PageRank is “transfers” to a linked site. How much gets transferred heavily depends on the overall amount of outbound links a website has. So the more links a site links to, the less a single link adds to the PageRank of a linked site.

Moreover there’s the problem with the profile pages themselves. PageRank is calculated on a site basis, not on a domain basis. So even if Google’s main search page has a PageRank of 10, a profile site most likely will have a PageRank of 0. Why? Because there are no incoming links to it and they are not directly linked to from the main page of Google.

getting back links from google will not hep you to change pagerank on google. these links will not count by google. but yahoo and bing will count these. anyway thanks for sharing it..

I have created a few profiles with them a long time ago, but for some reason some profiles have dofollow links, but others no. I do not know why.
